Teflahn Poetix is back with another full length project. This time he borrows a name from Marvel Comics' arguably most underrate hero, War Machine.
Features include Rockwell Knuckles, Vandalyzm, Theresa Payne, Gangsta Gritz and Family Affair. Production is blessed by Urban Legendz, Tech Supreme, InHouse Productions, and Basement Beats.
Enjoy this shit.
If hearing Black Thought break out those crooning vocals Nat King Cole style doesn't put you in the holiday spirit, I dunno what will.

The Gorillaz are set to release a new album on Xmas day. The entire project was recorded from the bands eight tourbusses as they trekked across the United States and Canada on the American leg of their world tour. Wu Tang never really went away, but they still seem to somehow be making a resurgence. I for one am amazed.
Now here's one from Ghostface...
As far as I know, this is the first collabo between Ghost & Thought. Why the hell did this not happen earlier??
Be sure to check out everything else he's had on Waitin for the DJ right here.

“I wanted to bridge the gap between the O.G’s like Diamond D and artists that I consider to be the future, like Blu,” explains Brady. “Nobody is really doing that right now and making it sound right, so I wanted to do something different, something that I thought would sound right.” -Mr. Brady

Find it. Here.
Check out Mayer's rendition of this classic Xmas track and be sure to download it below.
Peace, love, and an Ove Glove in the stocking.
Happy Holidays everyone,
All the best Christmas songs were written by Jews, and Chanukah songs suck. This is my favorite Christmas tune, sung over the Vince Guaraldi instrumental.
Mayer Hawthorne - Christmas Time Is Here by Mayer Hawthorne
From what I can tell this track is still a work in progress (as evidenced by the list of people in the image above who AREN'T on this version), but still a good one to add to your holiday playlist this year, whether or not its complete. Kanye and CyHi stand out enough to distract from the gap at the end.
Produced by Equinox Productions. Video shot and produced by Jamil Woods of BoldLifestyle Photography in Washington, D.C.
Little too much focus on smoke & money for my taste, but still a solid track all around.

The six song EP includes the first single "On 10" from the upcoming album which SNS released a video for earlier this year that you can watch here. Tracks "SNS" and Jet Lag" showcases the East St. Louis duo's clever lyrical versatility and plays out like an spacey, electronic funk dream. The Hangover EP builds from a sonically diverse palate that is both refreshing and cleverly executed reaffirming comparisons to Outkast. For the past four years, these multi-media artists have kept a grand vision of producing original, experimental hip hop and The Hangover EP is a noteworthy culmination of talent and a dynamic introduction to the soon-to-be-released Smoke and Mirrors.
Come Christmas Day SNS will be waiting to crash your your traditional Holiday gatherings with six soulful, mind expanding tracks from The Hangover EP.
The Hangover EP tracklist:
1. Jet Lag
2. The Morning After
3. On 10
"With their smart and innovative lyrics, eclectic music, and die-hard work ethic, Scripts 'N Screwz will make people believe. A change is coming and Scripts 'N Screwz may very well be leading the wave of new Midwest and mainstream hip-hop." - Consequence of Sound
"Lyrically, Noise tends to avoid most of the biggest clichés associated with the genre; its songs thoughtfully touch on subjects like war, poverty and crazy women... the album is ambitious and well-executed, providing listeners an impressive amount of variety - while offering an intelligent alternative to commercial rap." - The Riverfront Times

Jay Elect doesn't drop random tracks like this very often, so enjoy it. From what I can tell, this is an older track. Jay approaches this one the same way his did his Nas tribute track - by evoking the style of the MC in question (at least on the first verse), this time the late Guru. RIP Mr. Elam.
Tone Treasure's name might not ring a bell, but if you follow Jay Electronica you'll recognize the voice from "Victory is in My Clutches" and "Renaissance Man".
Props to NahRight for the link:
According to the track info, this one is from Act II: Patents of Nobility. Hopefully we'll get album info soon?

Words are Power. Eternia takes this truth to heart in Pt. 3 of the "QUEENS CHRONICLES" Series, presented by YEAH! Films & photographer Jason Matos. Not only a glimpse into the streets of Astoria, Pt. 3 also provides a revealing look into the mind and heart of Eternia herself, via her words & DJ Boo's percussion. Don't miss the final installment of the series!
This blog seems to be taking a very quick, sharp turn towards the underground. I've always had love for independent and alternative artists, but the past couple weeks has been overwhelming in solid music from the non-major folks. This is for sure a good thing.
The next notable news from under the radar comes from Chuck.Tailor. His Good.Luck.Chuck.SomeX.Music.Sux EP, which has a real grainy Blu style to it, is one of the realest projects I've heard recently. The manner in which it was recorded is an inspiring throwback to say the least. Read it in his own words:
a short collection of some raw hip hop shit, i recorded this whole record in one evening, no soundproofing,no engineers, just me, some green and a couple of Heinekens.
i try 2 get as much done when i can
If you like it dope, if not…..
oh well thats hip hop.
I intended this project to be reminiscent of an old demo tape,
you know!? when labels actually had artist development, and would help mold an artist, so i apologize for the sound quality, but id rather you get the point
released 06 December 2010
I wanna hear him on a track with Black Spade. Let's make it happen.
Listen here and be sure to download and support.
Sorry I'm so late on this; got it in the inbox a while ago but I really suck at going through it sometimes.
Anyway, you may remember Kil Ripkin from his "Not You" music video a while back (definitely worth checking out). Now he's back with a full new project called The Quickening. Download it below and enjoy good music.
Good to know there are still real artists out there talking about real things consistently.
Keep it up.

HOWEVER, I would totally pay money for a Dee-1 album based on this video. So where are they?
EDIT: Just did a bit of an internet search and put the money where the mouth was. Go to http://dee1music.com/ to download Dee-1's mixtape, I Hope They Hear Me! and make a donation to the artist. Peace.
Not to be outdone by the Gorillaz cover of the popular XX tune, "Crystalize", Theophilus London became the second Brit this week to drop an XX-inspired track. This one is a remix of another favorite, "You've Got the Love". Check it out below, and be sure to catch the Gorillaz video as well HERE.

Rugz D. Bewler has been blowing up my inbox so much that I haven't had a chance to even prepare to sift through all of it. This one's the most recent and it's where I decided to start and DAMN! This blew me to pieces man. First off I fuckin love DOOM. Nuff said there. Second, Rugz kills it on one of the top MF beats available. Win & win.
See what Team Colours had to say about the release, check out the track below, and download it while you listen.
With the year coming to a close, Rugz D. Bewler has decided to introduce an informal freestyle series of verses "assisted" by the producers (and songs) that have impacted, influenced, and inspired him as an artist. In sports, an assist is awarded when a player helps their teammate score a goal. All of the freestyles will be labeled as "Assist by... " to help Rugz D. Bewler score points with music fans and accomplish his goals in the music industry. Unlike other artists series (which have become the norm nowadays), this isn't restricted to formats, formulas, or release dates. The 1st freestyle of this series is "Curls" by MF Doom. Enjoy!
Today, Def Jam Rapstar, the first music game dedicated to hip hop, is proud to announce its new partnership with Atlantic Records and HMV as they launch the nationwide search for Britain’s best emcee.
The winner will receive a record deal from Atlantic Records, home to Jay-Z, T.I. Lupe Fiasco, Flo-Rida & BOB.
Freestylers can submit their best track using Def Jam Rapstar’s innovative freestyle mode with beats from the best producers in the world including DJ Premier, Just Blaze, Cool & Dre, Ill Blu, and S-X.
